Photograph Notes:

This was a particularly foggy morning along the Clinton River. I noticed these riverside plants all in a line, almost in a perfect plane. In the background there was this tree that had fallen across the river, a common occurrence on the Clinton River. The scene had many thematic contrasts to me - standing tall and falling over - cool vs. warm tones - survival of the young, the falling of elders. In some ways there seemed something wrong with these respectively delicate grasses to be standing while a mighty tree has fallen in the distance.
